Western Union expands white label money transfer in Asia
Western Union announced the expansion of its white label cross-border money transfer service to Kyodai Remittance, a unit of Japan's Unidos Co., and Korean fintech Hanpass.
"More global brands are turning to Western Union for cross-border money transfer solutions that provide our customers the ability to transfer money quickly and reliably to almost anywhere in the world," Hikmet Ersek, CEO of Western Union, said on a recent trip to Asia, according to a release from the company.
"The expansion of our open platform initiative into Asia with leading financial institutions is a decisive step towards the execution of our strategy to tap into incremental growth opportunities."
Western Union also has partnerships with Kenya's Safaricom, Korea's KEB Hana Bank, Russia's Sberbank and Saudi Telecom's STC Pay.
