Uber Eats to roll out in-app Apple Pay integration in 20 markets worldwide

Uber Eats has said that it will integrate Apple Pay into its app and roll out the payment option to customers in 20 markets over the coming weeks.

Uber has worked with Apple Pay since 2014. The newly announced integration will allow iPhone owners to use Face ID or Touch ID to make in-app payments.

With Apple Pay, consumer card numbers are not stored on the Apple device or on Apple servers. Instead, unique device account numbers are assigned, encrypted and stored in secure locations on the device.

The Uber Eats Apple Pay integration will be rolled out in Belgium, Canada, France, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwain, United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom and the United States.
