ROAM Data may be best known in mobile payments as the company behind the card-reading dongle proffered by several mobile POS companies. (Their white-label solution is used by a ton of entrants into that crowded market.) The company also offers a number of mobile commerce platform and payment gateway services. And now it's embarking on an interesting partnership with mobile app platform ViziApps Inc. The companies announced that they have partnered to give businesses the ability to create custom m-commerce mobile apps.

How's that interesting? According to the announcement, the mobile apps can be created with no coding at all. In other words, businesses can create custom-branded mobile apps that process mobile payment transactions, either with or without card swipes, without paying for a custom-coded application. ViziApps lets anyone with basic computing skills create custom mobile apps that process in-app transactions on iPhones, iPads, and Android phones and tablets, the companies said.

Apps created through the ViziApps Mobile App Platform can let businesses accept remote payments, collect money for charities or political campaigns, or make sales at trade shows or events.

"By integrating ROAM Data's mobile commerce technologies into the ViziApps Mobile App Platform, we enable businesses to tap the rich benefits of mobile commerce without incurring the cost of long mobile app development projects," said ViziApps CEO George Adams.

"Now businesses can create their own branded, custom mobile apps that include in-app payments with a seamless user experience, thereby avoiding the need to jump out to other apps, download other apps or create new accounts to take or make card payments," Adams said. 

Will Graylin, ROAM Data's founder and CEO, said the integration of his company's secure payment APIs into the ViziApps platform extends ROAM Data's secure mobile commerce solutions quickly to many more companies and nonprofit organizations.
