Regions Bank has announced that it will be adding new features for mobile banking customers, including remote deposit capture. Additionally, customers will be able to load those funds onto a prepaid account with options to make them available on the same day.

"More and more people are using the mobile channel to manage their finances, and we believe providing customers the ability to load a prepaid card or have immediate funds availability is significant," said Chris Cox, head of Regions eBusiness. "Customers have quickly shown an appreciation for these options and a product that lets them choose how quickly they need access to their funds."

Regions Bank, which has more than 1,700 branches in 16 states in the South and Midwest, developed the application and integration of remote deposit with Kony Solutions and Chexar.
