Phos has partnered with Stanchion Payment Solutions to offer contactless payments acceptance for European merchants.

Phos, a software technology provider, and Stanchion, a global specialist in payments systems and integration, will collaborate to help banks and payments companies work with merchants in meeting customers' demands for a range of secure payment options, including contactless payments from a mobile device, according to a press release.

Merchants can download Phos from Google Play and enable all of their Android devices to accept payments from contactless cards or other NFC-enabled devices such as smartphones, smart watches, or wristbands.

Phos brings to the table its SoftPoS technology, which enables contactless payment acceptance for any merchant with an NFC-enabled Android device. The partnership will support businesses in countries across Europe, including the UK, Poland, Romania, France, Italy, Spain and Portugal.
