PayPal accepted at all US Home Depot stores

PayPal's foray into offline mobile payments seems to be going well, at least well enough that it's expanding one of its trial programs.

According to a post on the PayPal blog from Don Kingsborough, PayPal's VP of Retail and Prepaid Products, the company will be expanding the pilot program it launched at a handful of Home Depot stores six weeks ago. Kingsborough said PayPal customers will soon be able to use their PayPal accounts to pay in all of The Home Depot's nearly 2,000 locations nationwide.

Kingsborough said that within the next two weeks, every The Home Depot store in the U.S. will be equipped to allow customers to use a PayPal card or enter their mobile phone number and PIN combinations to pay.

Kingsborough called The Home Depot integration "a great milestone" for PayPal and said it's only the beginning for the company. He said PayPal will "continue re-imagining money to make it work better for our retail partners and their valued customers."
