Pangea reaches more of Latin America with mobile remittance

Pangea Money Transfer, a mobile remittance app, has expanded its service into Honduras.

The company's app is now available in six Latin American countries: Colombia; the Dominican Republic; El Salvador; Guatemala; Honduras; and Mexico, according to a press release.

Chicago-based Pangea recently raised funds in a new funding round and plans to expand to 16 more countries across three continents by the end of the year, according to the announcement.

"Pangea was created, first and foremost, around the idea that time is money," Pangea CEO Nishu Thukral said in a statement. "It was built with simplicity and mobility in mind, so you never have to wait in line or fill out a form ever again when sending money to your loved ones. We're so happy to now offer our product to more Latin American senders in the U.S., and we hope to soon serve other immigrant populations with the same standards around ease of use."
