OpenMarket GM joins Mobile Marketing Association executive committee

Jay Emmet, general manager at the mobile engagement company OpenMarket, has been elected to the Mobile Marketing Association North America Executive Committee.

The MMA is a global non-profit trade association established to lead the growth and development of mobile, according to a news release. OpenMarket is a subsidiary of Amdocs, which provides software and services for business support systems, including direct carrier billing.

Emmet brings nearly 20 years of wireless industry and mobile channel experience to the MMA, according to the release, with extensive experience working closely with major enterprises, brands, content providers, media companies and mobile operators globally, many of whom belong to the MMA, the release said.

"Serving on the MMA North America Board of Directors has been a great chance for me to work with an exceptional team of industry leaders, and I'm looking forward to joining the Executive Committee," Emmet said in the release. "OpenMarket's mission is to help enterprises use mobile to optimize their business processes and engage with their key audiences. I look forward to sharing our knowledge and experiences as we look for new ways for companies to use mobile to more broadly serve their organizations."

The MMA Executive Committee represents business leaders across the marketing, technology and advertising spectrum working together with regional board members to advance the mobile movement, the release said.

"We are grateful to Jay for his commitment and leadership during his tenure with the MMA on the North America Board of Directors and now on the Executive Committee," Greg Stuart, the organization's global CEO, said in the release. "OpenMarket is a global industry stalwart and we will benefit from their experience, insight and strategic guidance as we drive the adoption of mobile across enterprise organizations."
