Mint Wireless to provide mobile payments software to Bank of New Zealand

Australia-based Mint Wireless, which provides mobile payment transaction processing software, has signed a partnership agreement with the Bank of New Zealand to provide a white-labeled mobile payments service. Under the agreement, BNZ's PayClip software will be delivered through Mint's solution, according to a news release.

PayClip will provide enhanced integration of card payments across mobile devices running iOS, Android or Windows, the release said, turning them into credit and debit systems. The technology is based on a card-present, online mobile service that enables EMV-based chip-and-sign transactions.

The platform will allow customers to take PCI-compliant, card-present mobile payments through smartphones and tablets, with both Mint and BNZ receiving a portion of the monthly transaction fees, the release said.
