Koupon Media has partnered with Verifone to deliver secure, one-time-use mobile coupons to brands and retailers, according to a press release.

The partnership will enable all retailers using the Verifone Commander platform to create, manage and distribute mobile coupons by Koupon Media, with unique barcodes that are immediately deactivated once scanned.

Verifone's Commander Site Controller is a single site management software platform that supports all petroleum and card brands and is intended to provide increased speed in at-the-pump and in-store payment acceptance, fueling operations, and back office control. It is deployed in greater than 50 percent of the convenience retail locations in the U.S. All of these retailers now have the capability to create and distribute mobile coupons with unique barcodes directly on the Koupon Platform, eliminating the possibility of multiple use, fraudulent coupon scans.
