Kabbage co-founders launch social referral app Scout
Drum Technologies, a startup led by the co-founders of Kabbage Inc. announced the launch of Scout, a social referral app that allows users to recommend everything from restaurants to TV shows and tourist attractions through word of mouth.
The app allows users to share the places or activities they love through the app or through SMS messages or email.
"Now, consumers are able to explore together while sharing, requesting and receiving one-on-one recommendations from people they are already connected with," Rob Frohwein, co-founder and CEO of Scout, said in a press release. "Recommendations mean more when they come from the people you trust, and Scout unlocks that from everyone."
Frohwein co-founded Drum Technologies along with Kabbage co-founder Katheryn Petralia and Troy Deus.
Drum launched in 2019 with $11 million in seed funding from a group of tech-oriented investors, including Propel Venture Partners, Felicis Ventures, BlueRun Ventures, American Express Ventures, GroTech Ventures, Wildcat Venture Partners, BoxGroup and SV Angel.
