Location-based mobile offers and mPOS payments are being showcased by payment terminal provider Ingenico, mobile wallet provider iMobile3 and Bluetooth proximity system provider Twocanoes at NRF 2014.

Jacksonville, Fla.-based iMobile3 is equipping Ingenico's Telium-based family of payment devices with PassMarket, a cloud-based, multi-wallet platform that supports Apple Passbook and Google Wallet.

iMobile3's PassMarket wallets contain digital versions of payment cards as well as coupons, gift cards and loyalty cards.

In order to link retailer offers and coupons with customer location, iMobile3 has teamed up with Naperville, Ill.-based Twocanoes, which provides Bluetooth Low Energy beacons that enable retailers to send location-based offers to customers' mobile phones.

At NRF 2014, iMobile3 announced the new PassMarket Beacon Edition platform, which works Twocanoes' Bleu Stations BLE-based beacons.

Integrating iMobile3's new PassMarket Beacon Edition with a retailer's POS system allows consumers to redeem PassMarket coupons received in-store and make payment from their PassMarket Wallet at Ingenico's POS terminals without swiping credit or debit cards, iMobile3 said.

iMobile3 said it has been collaborating with Ingenico over the past year to pilot mobile solutions at several major retailers across the U.S.
