Heartland unveils mobile POS for restaurants
Heartland Payment Systems has launched its new Mobuyle Restaurant solution. The product allows restaurateurs to accept credit, debit and gift card payments using Android smartphones and mobile devices.
Like most mobile POS systems, Mobuyle turns a mobile device into a credit card terminal. Heartland said that for restaurants, the device puts full terminal capabilities into the hands of restaurant staff, allowing them to handle things like curbside pick-up, catering and delivery services. Additionally, Mobuyle features Heartland's "Store and Forward" functionality letting staff process payments even when Wi-Fi may be unavailable.
"Restaurant merchants are finding mobile to be an outstanding alternative to traditional terminals and Heartland is leading the charge in providing a secure and comprehensive mobile payment acceptance solution," said Mike English, Heartland's executive director of product development.
"By accepting credit, debit and gift card payments through Android smartphones and mobile devices, Mobuyle enables restaurateurs and their staff to enhance the overall customer experience," English said.
