Flint launches mobile payment partner program

Flint Mobile, a Redwood City, Calif.-based provider of mobile payment services without card readers, has launched a partner program for ISOs, MSPs (merchant service providers) and ISVs (independent software vendors).Flint mobile payment app

Flint's iOS and Android apps allow merchants to use their smartphone's camera to scan and recognize card numbers. Payments can also be taken via online invoices. Transaction fees are 1.95 percent for debit card transactions and 2.95 percent for credit card transactions.

Flint's all-in-one platform also offers digital coupons, online social reviews and a merchant portal for payment tracking and invoices.

"Flint provides partners with the market's only all-in-one payment, invoicing and loyalty solution with

out requiring any hardware distribution," Greg Goldfarb, Flint's co-founder and CEO, said in a news release.

Flint's early reseller partners include two MSPs, Fidano, a subsidiary of NXGEN, and Payline Data. "We have been working with Flint since last year and have seen an enthusiastic response from our customers," Thomas Nitopi, Fidano's CEO, said in the release.

"We started with a typical product with a card swiper, but Flint's ability to eliminate that extra piece of hardware is a major benefit," Jeff Shea, Payline Data's CEO, said.

Flint said its partner program can be used by software companies offering small business applications such as scheduling, accounting, loyalty and mobile shopping cart integration that also want to offer built-in mobile payments.
