Curve launches Curve Send for international P2P transfers

Curve, a banking platform that consolidates multiple cards and accounts into a smart card and mobile app, announced Curve Send, a new feature that allows users to send and receive funds across borders from any account.

Users can send funds from any account linked to the Curve app to any other account, be it a challenger bank like Monzo or traditional banks like Lloyds or Bank of America.

"Customers want to send money to their friends and family with just a few touches," Diego Rivas, head of OS product at Curve, said in a company release. "But with so many different options and the rise of challenger banks, the process is unnecessarily complicated and customers wind up having 3-4 apps just to send money."

Customers can send funds by selecting the card they want to send from through the Curve app and send the funds. If the recipient is a Curve customer, they just need to select the bank card where they want to receive the funds. If the recipient is not a Curve customer, they can either enter their bank details or take a photo of the bank card via a link sent by the sender, and the funds will be sent to that account.

Curve, based in the U.K., is available in 33 countries within the European Economic Area.
