BankMobile partners with Google for digital bank accounts

BankMobile, a division of Customers Bank, has partnered with Google to introduce digital bank accounts. Customers who sign up for these accounts can manage them through Google Pay and gain access to budgeting tools and financial insights, according to a press release.

This digital checking account will be built on BankMobile's existing infrastructure and will be FDIC-insured. These new accounts will be available to customers starting in 2021.

"We are thrilled to be collaborating with Google to offer our customers enhanced digital bank accounts," Luvleen Sidhu, co-founder and CEO, BankMobile, said in the release. "Today, BankMobile serves approximately one in every three college students through our relationship with 800 campuses across the country. By collaborating with Google, we can provide millions of college students across America with an even better banking experience to help them manage, save and grow their money."
